Finance Associate

Barcelona (Remote & Flexible) Full-Time

The main objective of the position is to be the person responsible for accounting, paying taxes, preparing, and presenting the company’s Annual Accounts and providing support in the reporting needs of a growing technology company.

As Financial Accountant you will report directly to the Finance Director.

Main Duties

  • Accounting (both formal and analytical).
  • Allocate and verify the correct digital documentation associated with the accounting notes.
  • Prepare and present the corresponding models before the corresponding Administrations (VAT, Corporate Tax mainly).
  • Be aware of the tax obligations of the company.
  • Make and create accounting reports (official and analytical) of the company.
  • Support in the preparation of the company’s financial reporting.
  • Prepare and attend, where appropriate, the necessary requirements to successfully manage audits, both external and internal, related to the Finance Department.
  • Address and resolve the demands or incidents that clients or external financing entities communicate to us.
  • Support in supplier/customer management.
  • Preparation and control of invoices for international clients.
  • Provide support and review reports of internal incidents of the company related to billing.
  • Maintain and propose improvements to the financial information system.
  • Interaction with other Departments.

Experience we require

  • Experience with regulations to work with international suppliers and clients.
  • Accuracy and detail at the financial level
  • Ability to optimize processes.
  • Business vision and willingness to work in a growing company
  • Travel availability (punctually if necessary)
  • To assess specific qualifications or prior knowledge in accounting, management, accounting, or tax.

Finance associate skills

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Spanish
  • Experience with regulations to work with international suppliers and clients.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information/concept into common language
  • Detail oriented with an appreciation of the big picture.
  • Scale-up mentality, ability to adapt to changing environments.
